‘Dear You’ is China’s surprise film hit of the year. It tells a story of the struggles and sacrifices of overseas Chinese and their families back home. This review by Keith Bennett published by Friends of Socialist China finds the film to be “a vivid depiction of the patriotism, solidarity, loyalty, tenacity and sacrifice of the overseas Chinese”.

“Not only the future and wellbeing of the Chinese people but also the destiny and fate of world socialism and the very future of humanity depend to a huge extent on everything going well with the Communist Party of China and on its leadership,” states Keith Bennett on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of that Party’s foundation.

“The DPRK is a conscious maker of history, playing a role far greater than its small geographical size or population would reasonably suggest”, states Keith Bennett in a speech to the organization Friends of Korea, and in a wide-ranging analysis of its international relations, he shows that not least of its achievements is its adherence to socialist principles as the core of its relations with China and other socialist and progressive states.
